Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional leader to manage our food retail department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a proven track record of leading, motivating, and developing a team.

This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Train and develop team members to deliver positive customer experiences.
  • Hire new staff and onboard them effectively.
  • Manage staff performance reviews, PDPs, rostering staff, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure food preparation, presentation, and serving meet the highest standards.
  • Order stock and complete weekly stock takes.
  • Develop innovative ideas to increase sales and improve department standards.
  • Create a positive working environment, motivate, and monitor the team's competence in their roles.
  • Take overall responsibility for department operations, including cash handling, payroll, and implementing company policies.
  • Achieve all KPIs and targets set by management, ensuring up-to-date HACCP documentation, and excel in annual health and safety audits.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and efficiently.

Requirements
  • Customer Focus - awareness that the customer comes first.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent knowledge of Food Retail and Sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP hygiene systems and food safety.
  • Proven experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team.
  • Personal Drive - self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Integrity - honesty and respect for colleagues and customers alike.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a Managerial position.
