Strategic Financial Director

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Financial Director to join our leadership team and drive financial performance. The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic financial direction, guidance, and management of the finance function in a way that facilitates the achievement of our growth strategy.

  • Lead the development and execution of the financial strategy aligned with our goals.
  • Partner closely in assisting the CEO with shaping and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute multi-year business plans that advance our priorities and intended impact.

The CFO will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and the finance team to create best-in-class reporting, budgeting, and long-term planning, including developing financial models, managing budgets, preparation of monthly management accounts, dealing with all regulatory financial and taxation reporting.

The CFO will also build strong relationships with other members of the leadership team and foster a business partnership approach with the finance team and other departments.

  • Oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting against targets, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Management and oversight of budget and forecast preparation and delivery, updating regularly.
  • Monitor operational costs and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality care.

Requirements:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, with at least 8 years in a senior role.
  • Experience in the healthcare, residential care, or related regulated sectors is strongly preferred.
