Procurement Leadership Position

The role of Director, Global Procurement involves overseeing the development and implementation of category strategies to meet global business needs.

  • Leads negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Manages a team of professionals responsible for performing category management tasks
  • Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports

This position requires a strong background in procurement, preferably within the biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results through effective sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.

Additionally, this role involves working closely with stakeholders to align category priorities with procurement management and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • Progressive experience in procurement, preferably including substantial experience in Pharma/Bio Pharma
  • Knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry
