Adult Mental Health Service

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Mental Health service in County Meath. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, making a real difference in the lives of service users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults with mental health needs.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group interventions aimed at promoting recovery, independence, and community integration.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other MDT members to create and review care plans.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and support junior staff where required.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and service guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • CORU registration (or eligibility to register).
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in an Adult Mental Health setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and team-working skills.
  • Commitment to recovery-focused, person-centred practice.
