We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical professional to join our team. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will assist in managing the design and installation of Mechanical and Electrical services for residential projects.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake and assist with the following duties:

  • Manage and monitor the quality of M&E systems on residential projects, from initial coordination to final commissioning and handover.
  • Support site construction management teams in coordinating on-site M&E installations and assist with problem-solving when issues arise.
  • Coordinate with project design teams regarding M&E system interfaces with architectural and structural elements.
  • Oversee M&E subcontractors onsite, ensuring programme and quality expectations are met.
  • Liaise with utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of services such as electricity, public lighting, gas, water, and telecommunications to new developments.
  • Manage modifications to existing site services and facilitate mains service diversions in collaboration with utility providers.
  • Contribute to the company's innovation and value engineering processes by considering and implementing best-in-class mechanical and electrical systems and products.
  • Manage temporary electric and water systems.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Further education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services.
  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in a similar management role.
  • An interest in energy management and emerging trends in residential building services design and construction.
  • A team player mindset, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A strong relationship-building ability, with a focus on deadlines and commitment to programme delivery.
  • A full driving licence, with willingness to travel between sites.
