Senior Debt Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Workout Agent to join our team. As a Workout Agent, you will play a critical role in resolving arrears issues with borrowers prior to the accounts moving into legal proceedings.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating with customers to resolve arrears issues, dealing with incoming calls from customers and branches, and adhering to the bank's credit policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Negotiate with customers to resolve arrears issues
- Deal with incoming calls from customers and branches
- Adhere to the bank's credit policies and procedures
- Deal with restructuring queries on customers' mortgage accounts within company policy and regulatory requirements
- Ideal experience in debt resolution
- Effective call handling skills to ensure that customers are dealt with in a professional manner
- Detailed understanding of relevant legislation, including Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears and Consumer Protection Code 2012
- A.P.A./Q.F.A. qualification required
- Excellent PC skills (use of database, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of CCMA, CPC and MCC and how these apply to day-to-day interaction with customers
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and is flexible
- Financial / Mortgage market awareness
