Low Voltage Electrical Design Engineer Role

This senior design engineer position focuses on the creation of electrical plans and specifications for projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD design software, AutoCAD, and electrical design software, Eplan and Etap. Additionally, proficiency in designing low-voltage distribution systems, switchboards, and DC systems is essential.

We are seeking a highly analytical and problem-solving individual who can work effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing electrical plans and specifications for projects.
  • Coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of IEC standards, including IEC 60364, IEC 61439, and IEC 61140.
  • Performing electrical calculations for various systems, including load calculation, maximum predicted loading, Arc Flash, and Short Circuit.
  • Preparing detailed discrimination study reports and providing technical submittals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland immediately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD design software, AutoCAD, and electrical design software, Eplan and Etap.
  • Experience with low-voltage distribution systems, switchboards, and DC systems.
