Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Nursing Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with mental health needs. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical and leadership skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and understand the needs of others.

The role will involve managing a team of healthcare professionals, developing and implementing individual care plans, and ensuring that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.

About the Role

As a Psychiatric Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Developing and implementing individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Ensuring that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
  • Participating in ward rounds and other multi-professional meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Leading by example and promoting a positive work culture within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in Psychiatric Nursing or a related field.
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Psychiatric Nurse.
  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (QQ1 Level 8 or higher) or working towards it.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in psychiatric nursing, including at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with a strong ability to empathize with and understand the needs of others.
