The Assistant Director of Nursing is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services in our Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychiatric nursing, with a strong background in healthcare management.

  • To ensure that Individual Care Plans are up-to-date and reflect the highest possible quality and safety standards.">
  • To be familiar with and adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations.">
  • To lead a multidisciplinary team to undertake clinical responsibilities, including assessment, treatment, and care planning.">
  • To maintain a high standard of nursing care during procedures and treatments, including the administration of medicines.">
  • To assist the Director of Nursing in ensuring staff awareness of Individual Care Plans and objectives.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Registration on, or eligibility for registration on, the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).">
  • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (QQI Level 8 or higher) or working towards and/or equivalent.">
  • A minimum of 5+ years post-qualification/registration Psychiatric nursing experience.">
  • A minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in a management position within psychiatric nursing.">
  • Excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, and a proactive approach.">
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and IT skills.">
