Power Station Financial Support Specialist

A key role within our Generation and Trading business, the Station Finance Team Member will provide support to the day-to-day operation of a power station. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate reporting and variance analysis on a monthly basis, while also maintaining visibility of station performance to local Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing day-to-day support of accounting, administration and third-party contracts
- Managing and supporting the prompt payment of invoices and dealing with invoice queries
- Preparation and posting of all month end journals and reconciliation of local control accounts
- Liaising with Operations where required
- Carrying out key administration duties, including managing facilities contracts and general office administrative duties
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of basic accounting and invoice processing processes
- An ability to act independently working to solve problems and implement solutions
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines. They will have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and prior experience of working with SAP SRM & FMIS.
