Job Title: Director of Financial Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced financial leader to oversee and manage our finance operations, ensuring efficient delivery of financial processing, reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

This role will involve leading and managing finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, pensions, banking, taxation, general ledger, and systems administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial processing, reporting, and month/year-end close.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and statutory obligations.
  • Drive efficiency, automation, and transformation of financial systems and processes.

You will collaborate with finance leadership teams and key stakeholders, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, and develop and monitor KPIs for operational performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a degree in finance, accounting, or related field. They should have 10+ years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role. Experience managing shared services and delivering finance transformation initiatives is also essential.

The selected candidate will have strong ERP systems knowledge (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and a proven track record in change management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are also required.

Requirements:
