Adult Support Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Adult Support Worker to join our Limerick Adult Day Services team in Castleconnell, Co. Limerick. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults with disabilities and their families.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. They will work as part of a team to facilitate service users' daily programmes, assist with personal care needs, mobility, and support access to services in their community and on our virtual day service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the adult day service team to deliver person-centered programmes
  • Support service users with their daily activities, including personal care and mobility
  • Encourage and support opportunities for service users to develop new skills and participate in their local communities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 5 in Care Skills or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum one year's experience working with adults with disabilities
  • Full clean driver's license with no restrictions and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
  • Effective communication and recording practices
  • Knowledge of social model of disability
