Job Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and motivated accountant to join our team in Ireland.

This is a full-time permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth and development within the accountancy field.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and audit exempt companies
  • Management of the preparation and timely submission of personal tax (income tax) and corporation tax returns
  • Overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT returns, VAT RTDs, PAYE, payroll, and RCT returns
  • Provision of proactive tax planning and advisory support to clients, ensuring compliance with Irish tax legislation
  • Review of work prepared by junior team members and support of their development where appropriate
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of Companies Office returns (company secretarial experience is an advantage)
  • Support of audit queries and liaison with Revenue as needed

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an Irish practice environment
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and Irish taxation
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Revenue Online Service (ROS)
  • Experience in managing client relationships and handling a broad client portfolio
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently
  • Experience with CRO returns and company secretarial duties would be an advantage
