Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

Inform3 are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their busy office in Galway. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in civil and building design consultancy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and creating drawings, designs, and diagrams. They will also develop design concepts and perform structural design calculations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 8 degree in civil or structural engineering
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in an engineering design office (or a similar environment)
  • Experience working on a diverse range of projects is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit with the capability to prepare detailed technical designs and drawings to a high standard
  • Essential knowledge of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English)
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and the ability to research topics thoroughly
