Senior Civil Engineer Role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. This role will involve leading the detailed civil engineering design of pavements, underground drainage and utilities, and earthworks for site development works on large industrial projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or a similar body. They will also have minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years' experience in the detailed design of large industrial projects in the pharmaceutical, data centre or oil & gas sectors.

This includes the design of process drainage and the coordination of complex underground utilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient with the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and AutoTRACK, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the detailed civil engineering design of pavements, underground drainage and utilities, and earthworks for site development works on large industrial projects.
  • Proactively coordinate with project managers, design disciplines, construction management team, contractors and clients.
  • Manage the timely delivery of the civil engineering design to an excellent standard.
  • Carry out periodic inspections of the works on site for quality and BCAR purposes.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the civil engineering department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered status with Engineers Ireland or a similar body.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years' experience in the detailed design of large industrial projects in the pharmaceutical, data centre or oil & gas sectors.
  • Proficient with the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage and AutoTRACK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
