Data Migration Specialist

The ideal candidate will have expertise in data migration operations and health IT systems. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep knowledge of EHR data structures, clinical informatics, ETL processes, and stakeholder collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison to clinicians and supporting staff, ensuring data migration design meets clinical documentation and workflow needs.
  • Support data migration engagement sessions, adoption planning, and go-live readiness efforts.
  • Recommend policy changes and process improvements related to system use to drive efficiencies and improve outcomes.

Workflow & System Design:
  • Develop and oversee the data migration strategy and roadmap, including source system analysis, mapping specifications, transformation logic, migration tools, and retention of non-migrated legacy data.
  • Evaluate the migration scope to ensure all relevant clinical and business domains are covered.
  • Collaborate with clinical, business, and technical teams to support end-to-end data integrity across modules.

Implementation Support, Data Validation & Testing:
  • Support Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes, ensuring accurate mapping and clean transformation of legacy data into MEDITECH.
  • Participate in rounds of test migrations and execute the final cutover plan in alignment with project go-live.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, duplication, and inconsistencies that may impact clinical care, business operations or reporting.

Documentation & Governance:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including current state/future state maps, risk/issue logs, decision registers, benefits registers, and change logs.
  • Prepare materials for Technical Design Forum and senior management meetings.
  • Define and track key performance indicator (KPI) readiness, adoption, and post-go-live performance.

This role requires a skilled data migration professional who can effectively manage complex data migration projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience working with health IT systems.
