Manufacturing Excellence: CNC Operations Manager

As a skilled operations manager in the CNC Turning Department, you will play a vital role in driving efficiency and productivity.

This permanent position offers opportunities for progression and development within a dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and manage load capacity to accommodate spike requirements effectively.
  2. Analyze all part drawings and determine the most suitable machining processes.
  3. Set up and program 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines efficiently.
  4. Work to increase capacity when needed across all aspects of post-processing.
  5. Experience with Doosan, Mori Seiki, Okuma, and/or Huron milling machines is essential.
  6. Manage the demanding task of fast-turnaround, short lead-time work while maintaining high-quality standards.
  7. Apply structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and implement effective countermeasures.
  8. Initiate Kaizens and maintain the program across the department.
  9. Harness a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  10. A solid grasp of inspection methods ensures accuracy and reliability.
  11. Enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team and equipment by optimizing process flow and productivity.
  12. Establish and maintain effective training programs, including documented procedures, visual work instructions, and individual employee schedules.
  13. Evaluate and ensure health & safety responsibilities are met across all areas.
  14. Support commercial activities in collaboration with the sales team.
  15. Oversee all post-build processing and finishing activities.
  16. Ensure that quality levels are maintained, and corrective actions are analyzed and implemented promptly.

About You:

  1. Possess 5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
  2. Demonstrate 5+ years of supervisory or personnel management experience.
  3. Hold experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical industries as a plus.
