Precision Machinist Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in 5-axis CNC machining and be proficient in programming, setting up, and operating high-tech manufacturing equipment.
Job Description:- CNC Programming and Setup: Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, ensuring accurate and efficient production of high-precision components.
- Machining Operations: Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup, to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel to improve processes and provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining, with a strong focus on precision and accuracy.
- CNC Programming: Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming principles, with experience working with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Hypermill software and Heidenhain controllers is desirable but not essential.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Residency in Ireland with a valid work permit.
