Support Worker Job in East Lothian

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in East Lothian. The successful candidate will provide individualized support and care to individuals with disabilities or illnesses, helping them to live their best lives.

About the Role:

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing personal care and support to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and feeding. They will also assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist individuals with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Daily Living Tasks: Help individuals with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Encouragement and Support: Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to provide a high-quality service.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of individual's needs and progress.

Requirements:

  • No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding when working with individuals who may have complex needs.
