Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and best practices, advising management on changes and their implications.
  • Policy and Program Development:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Risk Management and Incident Control:
    • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and workplace inspections.
    • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to employees and contractors.
    • Foster a safety-first culture by engaging with staff at all levels.
  • Audits and Reporting:
    • Lead internal and external EHS audits, inspections, and certifications.
    • Prepare and present EHS performance reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to senior management.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    • Develop and test emergency response and crisis management plans.
    • Coordinate fire drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid readiness.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship:
    • Drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
    • Monitor environmental compliance and reporting obligations.
