Excavator Operator Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in excavation and grading, with experience working on various types of construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and site preparation according to project requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
    • Collaborate with the groundworks team to coordinate activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
    • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Valid CSCS card and Safe Pass certification.
  • Familiarity with As-Built service drawings and ability to read and communicate them effectively.
  • Competence in completing safety documentation and experienced in excavations around live services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Full driving licence - C or C1 category.
