Director Tax Opportunity

A seasoned tax professional is required to take on a pivotal role in our organization's tax leadership team. This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to leverage their expertise in taxation and make a tangible impact on our company's financial operations.

  • The Director Tax will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely production of diverse tax reporting forms, developing a comprehensive understanding of cross-functional business processes to identify automation opportunities and enhance client experiences, assisting in tax projects to refine processes and procedures, including cross Line of Business (LOB) strategic initiatives, ensuring a robust control environment that meets risk and audit requirements, analyzing data for consistency and accuracy; coordinating with relevant teams to implement necessary adjustments, implementing and supporting business-as-usual processes for continuous information reporting and withholding compliance, delivering tax education and training as required, driving team goals through effective management and ensuring targets are achieved

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading high-performing teams across multiple jurisdictions and offices to achieve business objectives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and senior management
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
  • Providing expert advice on taxation matters and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of tax-related activities and transactions
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to optimize business outcomes
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in taxation laws and regulations and providing guidance to the team accordingly

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A deep understanding of taxation laws and regulations
  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading complex projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong academic background in tax, law, accountancy, or related discipline
  • Relevant certifications such as CTA/CPA
