Nurse Leadership Role

The role of a Clinical Nurse Manager is to provide effective leadership and management in the delivery of high-quality patient care. This involves implementing changes and promoting innovation within the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and implement change, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards.
- Display leadership, innovation, and creativity through staff and resident interactions.
- Conduct audits of nursing care, including medication management and error prevention.
- Supervise and oversee the reception of new residents, assessing their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
- Provide support and supervision to care and nursing staff, guiding their performance and development.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will play a central role in maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This includes coordinating daily resident hand-over and ensuring excellent communication between all staff caring for residents.
Requirements:- Nursing experience: Minimum 2 years in a nursing home in Ireland, with a minimum of 5 years nursing experience (including overseas).
- Management experience: Preferably has SSN or CNM experience, but not essential as training can be provided.
- Good clear English communication skills.
- Interest in a particular area of nursing, with courses undertaken (e.g., gerontology, infection control, dementia).
- Experience working in nursing homes is essential.
- Must have a valid NMBI PIN.
