Business Development Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to lead our retail mortgage branch in Rathfarnham.
You will be responsible for driving business performance, managing a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring achievement of sales and service targets.
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and motivation to the branch team to maximise performance and professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, offering expert mortgage advice and tailored solutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with all banking, mortgage, and regulatory requirements, including adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Analyse market trends and identify opportunities to grow the branch's mortgage portfolio.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Oversee operational efficiency, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Handle escalated customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' management experience within banking or mortgage services.
  • Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) qualification.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and service targets.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
