Job Title: Night Shift Attendant

Are you a team player who excels at working night shifts? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide a non-directive support and advocacy service to service users?

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in their community by working with adults as part of the cold weather initiative in Tipperary. We are looking for a reliable and flexible individual who can work weekends, nights, and public holidays on a rota basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and caring environment for all service users, providing a non-directive support and advocacy service, promoting service user participation and social interaction, and supporting clients/residents where requested and as appropriate. They will also be responsible for supervising GSCK while on duty, writing reports, maintaining accurate records, communicating with incoming staff, and attending to reception duties.

We are looking for someone who has a willingness to change and adapt to new plans and situations, ensuring that all service users are aware of their responsibilities and that the building is safe and secure at night. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the National Quality Standards for Homeless Services and the National Standards for Better Safer Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a non-directive support and advocacy service to service users
  • Support and follow the behavioural care/support plans as developed by Project Workers
  • Act as an advocate for service users as appropriate
  • Supervise GSCK while on duty
  • Write reports and maintain accurate records
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Min Level 5 - Social care (required)
  • Full clean Irish drivers license (preferred)
  • Work authorisation: Ireland (required)
