Our client installs and maintains heating systems across commercial premises, seeking a skilled Gas Service Engineer to join their team.

About the Role
  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations, using mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify issues effectively.
  • Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools and power tools as necessary, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations, including pipe fitting and connections, with attention to detail and precision.
  • Carry out heavy lifting when required, utilizing proper techniques for safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently, fostering a culture of teamwork and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used, providing valuable insights for future projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems, building trust and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer, with a strong background in gas engineering and maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Basic maths skills for calculations related to installations and repairs, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Experience in commercial driving is advantageous but not mandatory, offering flexibility and adaptability.
  • Certification in relevant gas safety regulations is required, demonstrating expertise and commitment to industry standards.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety practices within the workplace, promoting a culture of responsibility and awareness.
