Senior Operations Manager for Strategic Initiatives

Job Description">

The Senior Operations Manager will lead global teams on complex projects in developing high-quality new products globally and ensure they are completed on-time.

">Main Responsibilities:">
  • ">
  • Lead teams to maintain governance structures, tools, templates, reporting cadences, and compliance requirements for AO Foot & Ankle project portfolios.">
  • Manage AO F&A project portfolio by working with project managers and resource managers to assign and manage resources effectively.">
  • Ensure all F&A projects adhere to standard PMO methodologies and processes, including phase gates, risk management, and resource planning.">
  • Collaborate with BU leadership to define, manage, and own program scope. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structures.">
  • Develop and manage detailed program Gantt charts. Analyze critical paths, major workstreams, and intersecting milestones. Own the program schedule. Monitor and track status.">
  • Partner with project teams to create program Quality Plans using various quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain plans.">
  • Develop a risk management plan for the program, identifying, analyzing, and understanding project risks. Develop and monitor a risk response plan.">
  • Develop a Procurement Management Plan and be a strategic partner in selecting procurement partners.">
  • Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for the program based on stakeholder expectations and requirements.">
  • Develop and execute communications management plans for the program team, key stakeholders, and business leaders.">

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field preferred; business experience considered in conjunction with required work experience.">
  • 8+ years of work experience required; 5+ years of project management experience preferred.">
