Job Summary:

The Data Privacy Specialist is an essential role within our organization, responsible for supporting core privacy compliance operations. This includes collaborating with the Data Protection Officer to implement and maintain a robust Privacy Program, ensuring adherence to relevant global data protection laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Data Protection Officer in implementing and maintaining the Privacy Program
  • Provide guidance and advice on obligations under global data protection laws to employees and management
  • Conduct and manage privacy risk assessments, including impact assessments and third-party evaluations
  • Handle requests from individuals regarding their personal data and exercise of rights
  • Assist in managing supervisory authority requests
  • Maintain accurate records of processing activities and purposes
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure effective privacy compliance
  • Monitor the effectiveness of privacy controls and data technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory changes impacting data protection
  • Act as primary contact for auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive privacy risk frameworks with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with information security to manage and respond to privacy incidents
  • Create engaging privacy training and awareness content
  • Review and provide input on data sharing and processing agreements

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of global data protection laws, including GDPR and regulations in EEA, UK, and US
  • Minimum 8 years experience in privacy compliance or related functions, with expertise in managing risk assessments
  • Proven ability to advise stakeholders on complex privacy issues
  • Relevant degree in law, data protection, business, security, or related field; professional certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM highly desirable
  • Understanding of AI, privacy-enhancing technologies, security concepts, and data protection obligations
  • Knowledge of privacy contractual arrangements and data transfer agreements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into solutions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of data by design principles and data ethics
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
