We are seeking a skilled Data Operations Engineer to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, storage solutions, and infrastructure to enable efficient data processing, analytics, and integrations.

You will focus on ETL/ELT workflows and data processing systems, ensuring clean, structured, and accessible data for analytics, reporting, and product features. You will participate in the maintenance and enhancement of mature legacy systems as well as development of new systems, products, and features. You will be responsible for the performance, reliability, and scalability of the data infrastructure and ensure that data is accurate, secure, and compliant with regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Heavy involvement in all aspects of our data-intensive SaaS offerings
• Ownership of data pipeline, ETL/ELT, and analytics processes
• Participate in backend application development, specifically all things SQL
• Key contributor to query design and optimization across all areas of the technology stack
• Lead the design and building of new data integrations & APIs
• Handle day-to-day data issues, bugs, inquiries, studies, and other projects as needed by our analyst team and customers

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong experience and enthusiasm for database design, data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Experience and enthusiasm for data pipeline development & ETL/ELT processes
• Strong experience and enthusiasm for MySQL and PostgreSQL. MS SQL is a plus
• Experience with or willingness to master Perl
• Self-driven and motivated with a desire to learn new skills and develop yourself and those around you
• Love to tweak complex queries for performance gains
• Eager to learn mature systems and to own and be a good steward of legacy backend applications and technologies
• Interested in AI and how it can be applied to solve real-world use cases through data
• Experience with system administration of Linux is a plus
• Experience with full-stack web development, PHP, React, etc is a plus
