Animation System Designer Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced and skilled Animation System Designer to join our team. As an Animation System Designer, you will play a key role in the development of our game's animation system, working closely with animators, designers, and programmers to ensure that the system meets our high standards for quality and responsiveness.
">The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of animation logic, including node graphs, IK, animation trees, and similar engine editors and technologies. They will also have experience working with high-fidelity motion capture and a good understanding of rigging, skinning, and related character technologies.
">In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate will be able to document and explain their work clearly and concisely, and will be comfortable working in a team-based pipeline across different geographic locations. They will also be able to take direction and feedback positively, adapt to change, and thrive under pressure.
">Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain complex animation systems">
- Work with animators, designers, and programmers to ensure that the animation system meets our quality and responsiveness goals">
- Provide technical support on the animation tools and editor to the Animation and Cinematics team">
- Assist in the design, integration, and validation of animation assets">
- Collaborate with the Animation, Code, and Design teams to achieve the look and feel of the desired animations style in-game">
- Understand and implement procedural animation systems to reduce workload and improve visual quality">
- Debug animation graphs to solve possible gameplay animation issues">
- Participate in and supervise integration of the animation assets into the game engine">
Requirements:
">- ">
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience">
- Experience in AAA video game development, with a focus on creating and defining high-quality real-time animation systems">
- Strong and practical understanding of animation logic: node graphs, IK, animation trees, and similar engine editors and technologies">
- Strong character animation skills and understanding of animation principles">
- Experience working with high-fidelity motion capture">
- Good understanding of rigging, skinning, and related character technologies">
- Able to document and explain their work clearly and concisely">
- Team oriented and has a strong desire for collaborative participation in a team-based pipeline across different geographic locations">
- Able to take direction and feedback positively, adapt to change, and thrive under pressure">
- Enthusiastic, methodical, and organized approach to work with high quality standards">
- Sense of initiative, originality, and resourcefulness in problem solving">
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English is mandatory)">
