Inventory Specialist Position

Microsoft is currently seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

About the Job Summary

As an integral member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation group, you will be responsible for executing cycle audits, coordinating incoming/outgoing deliveries, and documenting inventory discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  1. Execute assigned tasks under the guidance of more experienced Data Center colleagues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  2. Coordinate with suppliers to process failed vendor hardware devices following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to warranty claims and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
  3. Develop a working knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices and procedures.
  4. Ensure accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as records.
  5. Perform cycle audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met.
  6. Help reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
  7. Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
  8. Under the supervision of more experienced Data Center colleagues, destruction of data bearing devices following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
  9. Comply with all security and data management policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND experience or an internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
