Logistics Professional Placement Opportunity

This placement will be based in our Limerick site. You will be an integral part of a collaborative project with Stryker, contributing to the development of best-in-class sourcing strategies and improving healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify a logistics project with clear objectives, scope, success factors, milestones, and evaluation criteria.
  • Support cross-functional teams in developing effective sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities, aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracts as necessary.
  • Represent the 'voice of the supplier' in the organization, fostering strong relationships with key suppliers and other disciplines.
  • Participate in new product launches, leading supplier selection, requests for quotes, and ensuring suppliers understand product launch deliverables.
  • Assure cost standards are established for annual operating budgets and ensure compliance with quality systems.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in Logistics, Operations, Business, BIS, or related fields for the duration of the placement.
  • Honesty, integrity, self-motivation, flexibility, and a hardworking attitude, with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliability, dependability, punctuality, and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Available for either 6, 9, or 12 months; exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner.
