Job Summary

The Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety will lead the development, implementation, and management of quality and patient safety strategies across the region. This role involves ensuring effective governance structures are in place to monitor and report on service quality and safety.

About the Role

This is a senior management position that requires extensive experience in healthcare, risk management, incident management, and investigations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering change in complex environments and managing multiple stakeholders. Strong leadership and strategic skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, manage, and deliver quality and patient safety improvement strategies
- Ensure appropriate governance structures are in place to manage, monitor, and report on service quality and safety
- Contribute to the delivery of quality patient-centered services and support the achievement of service objectives
- Drive quality, safety, and service improvement strategies in planning, implementation, and performance of all regional services

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have:

  • A relevant professional qualification in a health and social care profession or nursing, with statutory registration or professional registration/accreditation where applicable

  • Extensive experience at a senior management level in healthcare, involving risk management, incident management, and investigations

  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and deliver effective quality and patient safety improvement strategies

  • Record of delivering change in complex environments through strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Track record of successful, innovative, and strategic leadership and implementation

  • Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
