Job Description:

As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and continually enhancing our Environmental Management System (EMS) to meet the highest international standards.

  • Maintain and continually develop our EMS to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 regulations.
  • Coordinate and support various Environmental Working Groups to achieve collective environmental goals.
  • Identify, implement, and maintain solutions to improve environmental performance across multiple areas, including waste, water, air, and energy.
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking and monitoring environmental performance metrics.
  • Deploy an effective internal audit regime and facilitate external audits to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
  • Evaluate and manage the environmental performance of contractors and suppliers.
  • Engage with stakeholders to develop and implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies that align with industry best practices.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of environmental sustainability.

Key Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience, knowledge, and understanding of environmental management systems, specifically ISO 14001.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and their application in business and industry.
  • At least one year of experience in an environmental or sustainability role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel.

This is a permanent position based in Belfast, operating on a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being.
