Job Title: Water Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Specialist to join our team of hydrologists, hydrogeologists, and water quality scientists. Our team works collaboratively to enhance the resilience of public water supplies and reduce the impact of wastewater treatment infrastructure on the water environment.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydraulic and hydrological modelling, as well as skills in data management, analysis, and presentation of results. They will also be able to contribute to flood risk modelling, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) modelling, and nature-based solutions.

Key responsibilities include enhancing the resilience of public water supplies, reducing the impact of wastewater treatment infrastructure on the water environment, and contributing to flood risk modelling and SuDS modelling.

  • Flood Risk Modelling: Develop and apply models to predict and mitigate flood risk, taking into account climate change projections and other environmental factors.
  • Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS): Design and implement SuDS to manage stormwater runoff and reduce flood risk.
  • Nature-Based Solutions: Implement nature-based solutions to reduce flood risk and improve water quality.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in environmental science, civil engineering, geography, or a related discipline with a strong hydrology or hydraulics focus. Several years of experience in hydrology, flood risk, and/or drainage are also required.
