As a Senior Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our commercial team. Your expertise in cost estimation and bid management will ensure that we deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
">We are seeking an experienced professional who can lead the estimating function and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing cost estimation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimates;
- Managing the cost estimation process, ensuring that all estimates meet company policies and client requirements;
- Coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to deliver category awards;
- Implementing quality control procedures to ensure that all bid submissions are of the highest standard;
- Providing a full and professional estimating service to support commercial leads in defining project scope and budgets;
- Understanding and leading cost and margin calculations;
- Developing bid documentation, project BOQs, and budgets;
- Supporting the procurement process by preparing cost estimates, derogations lists, and leading contract analysis.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant degree or technical qualification; however, relevant experience is more important;
- Estimating/bid/order negotiation experience within construction;
- An excellent level of understanding and application of costs, mark-ups, and margins;
- Experience managing subcontractors;
- Experience in leading, managing, developing, and motivating teams.
