Freight Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Transportation Coordinator to manage the movement of goods by road.

The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating freight shipments within the local market, with a strong understanding of logistics documentation and customs procedures.

This role requires a proactive approach to operational challenges and a keen attention to detail.

Frequent communication and negotiation with carriers, logistics providers, clients, and internal teams is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Coordinate Freight Movements: Ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries of goods by road.
  • Manage Freight Shipments: Coordinate domestic and international freight movements, ensuring compliance with trade laws and regulations.
  • Prepare Logistics Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary logistics documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs clearance documents.
  • Communicate Effectively: Act as the primary point of contact between clients, carriers, customs, and internal teams.
  • Negotiate Rates and Services: Negotiate rates and service terms with carriers and logistics providers.
  • Resolve Operational Issues: Address and resolve operational issues such as delays, damage, or lost goods.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in coordinating freight shipments within the local market.
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of logistics documentation and customs procedures.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work under pressure with keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
