Billing and Collections Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of billing and collections specialists in a senior finance role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic direction to a team of Billing and Collections professionals, ensuring effective management of revenue, working capital, and lock-up targets.
  • Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with revenue growth, WIP reduction, and cash flow improvement targets.
  • Drive continuous performance improvement through coaching, structured development plans, and workload allocation strategies.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, quality, and commercial awareness within the billing team, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for billing and collections matters for senior internal stakeholders, including Partners and Heads of Department.
  • Collaborate closely with legal teams, operations, and finance to ensure smooth execution of billing strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Provide insights to the Head of Finance and Regional Working Capital Manager on trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support strategic initiatives around client fee arrangements, matter management, and financial hygiene, enhancing billing performance and efficiency.
  • Oversight of the full billing lifecycle, including implementation of initiatives to reduce WIP-to-cash cycle times and improve billing consistency, quality, and compliance.
  • Lead the local rollout of global finance transformation projects and digital tools aimed at enhancing billing performance and efficiency.
  • Oversight of complex billing scenarios, including e-billing, multi-jurisdictional clients, and bespoke arrangements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
  • Monitor billing trends, lock-up metrics, and aged receivables to deliver actionable insights that inform leadership decisions.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and forecasting tools to support business planning and improve cash flow visibility.
  • Identify root causes of billing inefficiencies and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.
