Transport Planner Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team in a dynamic environment.

  • The successful candidate will be central to ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective logistics operations across pan-European routes.
Key Responsibilities:

Transport Planning:

  • Manage daily transport planning operations and identify areas for improvement
  • Create and cost-efficient transport solutions for OOG cargo across Europe

Operational Management:

  • Schedule and manage driver rosters, ensuring compliance with EU working time directives
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers and liaise with clients to maintain service quality

Optimisation and Improvement:

  • Monitor and refine delivery and collection processes, costs, and systems
  • Oversee fleet tracking and performance optimisation
  • Coordinate with and manage 3rd party hauliers
Requirements:

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar transport planning role
  • Strong understanding of EU transport laws and route planning systems
  • Experience managing 3rd party hauliers and understanding cost structures

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Ireland and Europe
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential), Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • CPC qualification is an advantage
