About the Role:As a Renal Care Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality haemodialysis care, driving transplant coordination, and managing clinical interventions aligned with the latest evidence-based guidelines. You'll also be at the forefront of nurse-led services, championing patient advocacy and best practice in renal health.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate key elements of the haemodialysis service, including anaemia and bone mineral disorder management.
- Lead transplant work-up, evaluation, and post-transplant follow-up for eligible patients.
- Prescribe and manage the Hepatitis B vaccination programme, including titre monitoring and booster protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver patient-centred care plans.
- Analyse and report monthly audit data and clinical metrics for quality assurance.
- Provide clinical education, specialist advice, and promote health awareness among patients.
- Maintain a strong focus on infection control and patient safety.
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
- Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing (essential).
- Strong experience working with haemodialysis patients in a clinical setting.
- Confident in clinical decision-making, nurse prescribing, and working independently.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Fully eligible to work in Ireland.
- Patient-first approach with strong clinical leadership.
- Committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in audit and reporting.
- Demonstrated collaboration within multidisciplinary environments.
