Payroll Specialist Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Payroll Specialist. As a key member of the HR Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll and administration of benefits for over 300 employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll
  • Accurately calculate and process BIK deductions for a significant company fleet
  • Administer third-party deductions, including Pension, VHI, Social Welfare, BIK, and LPT
  • Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure payroll accruals are accurate
  • Manage the payroll email inbox and address all payroll and benefit-related queries in a timely manner
  • Prepare and compile specialized payroll reports
  • Keep up-to-date with Revenue online services, including RPNs and payroll submissions
  • Stay current with legislative changes impacting payroll and advise team members and management accordingly
  • Process and complete payroll year-end accurately and on time
  • Complete reports for pension brokers and CSO
  • Ensure attendance reports are run weekly and address any gaps in a timely manner
  • Monitor hours worked to ensure compliance with working time legislation and highlight concerns to the HR Director
  • Manage annual leave entitlements in line with company policy
  • Respond to all payroll queries for employees
  • Liaise with auditors annually
  • Provide advice on all types of leave, including statutory and company leave
  • Assist with administrative duties within the HR Department
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management
