Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with the People Team regarding new employee setup and changes to terms and conditions, fostering effective communication.
- Calculate payroll adjustments, including absences and other deductions, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Administer payroll-related schemes, such as pension and bike-to-work initiatives, promoting employee well-being.
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls to ensure correct payroll processing, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for queries and provide high-level internal customer service, resolving issues efficiently.
- Prepare payroll-related documentation and reports, presenting data effectively.
- Assist with month-end tasks and willingness to learn new areas to provide cover to the team, demonstrating flexibility.
- Maintain records for audit and assist with audit requests, ensuring compliance.
- Perform administrative and ad-hoc tasks to support the Finance Team, contributing to the overall success.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role desired, showcasing progression and growth.
- Payroll qualification, such as IPASS or equivalent, or working towards, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
- Strong knowledge of Sage Micropay and Microsoft Office Excel skills, leveraging technical expertise.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines, delivering results under pressure.
- Can-do attitude, driving proactive problem-solving and initiative.
