Tax Compliance Specialist (12 Month FTC)

We are seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing indirect tax returns and statistical returns across multiple markets.

You will need to have a strong understanding of indirect tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of indirect tax compliance obligations, including liaising with external advisors and preparing for local indirect tax audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and preparing sales tax/VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions and co-ordinating the process. You will also need to have a detail-oriented mindset, complemented by strong financial and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinating and reviewing indirect tax returns and statistical returns across multiple markets
  2. Liaising with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of indirect tax compliance obligations
  3. Preparing for and assisting in local indirect tax audits
  4. Conducting regular reviews of team processes to identify efficiency opportunities and implementing improvements
  5. Ensuring all indirect tax payments/refunds are posted accurately
