Job Overview

Catalyzing Project Excellence

We are seeking a seasoned project manager to lead the delivery of strategic engineering projects. This individual will work closely with our customers in Cork, Ireland, and be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Lead project teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
  • Coordinate interfaces between projects and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver projects that meet business goals and safety requirements.
  2. Scope new projects, estimate costs, and secure necessary approvals.
  3. Manage project budgets, schedules, and progress reporting.
  4. Accountable for project schedule, progress reporting, and risk management.
  5. Project resource management.
  6. Update and influence management and project stakeholders as required.
  7. Coordination of project interfaces with other projects and departments.
  8. Coordination of and interfaces with third parties (suppliers, customers, service providers, etc.).
  9. Oversee design, construction, and commissioning and qualification activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Ensure completion of project documentation per GDP requirements.
  11. Completion of projects in accordance with management procedures.
  12. Organization and coordination of project meetings and appointments.
  13. Retrospective project performance review vs project goals and lessons learned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A third-level qualification in engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or science.
  • At least 8 years of experience in industry, with not less than 3 years in pharma/medical device industry and 3 years in a project management role.
  • Experience of delivering engineering projects within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • API manufacturing experience.
  • Qualification in project management.
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience of SAP, LIMS, and/or other business systems.
  • 6-Sigma/Kepner-Tregoe or similar problem-solving/decision-making methodology training.
