Compliance Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Global Logistics Services team. This is a global, remote position that can be based in several countries, including the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Finland, United Kingdom or Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have experience in import/export roles and knowledge of trade compliance processes and the interplay with global supply chain. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Global Tax, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of world-class import/export practices for translation to business optimization and efficiency opportunities.
  • Own policies, standards, and global import/export processes while working towards continuous improvements and driving best practices.
  • Provide strategic and tactical stewardship for global trade compliance systems and processes to assigned markets, partners, and stakeholder groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Global Tax, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an import/export role with knowledge of trade compliance processes and the interplay with global supply chain.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following regulatory environments: Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, and/or Health Care.
  • International trade business acumen including tariff classifications, customs valuation, license management, preferential origin determination, free trade agreements background.
  • Attention to detail, good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits:
  • This is a global, remote position with the possibility of working from a local office or manufacturing site for one or more days a week.
  • International travel will be very limited.
