Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We seek a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Dublin.

The ideal candidate will have opportunities to deliver European data centres and mission-critical projects, as well as other sector experience including process pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, labs, and clean rooms.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the running of projects and undertake a client-facing role in developing and coordinating engineering project services for mechanical or electrical installations, systems, equipment, and facilities.
    • Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.
    • Conduct surveys, tests, and dilapidation reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
    • Ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements.
    • Makes day-to-day decisions on project progress and provides direct liaison with clients.
    • Represents the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
    • Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
    • Liaises with colleagues on the coordination of engineering services.
    • Takes a holistic view in selecting and applying engineering concepts and solutions.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
    • Degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
    • Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
    • Significant experience in a similar role with a reputable company.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
