Job Description

Coffey is seeking skilled BIM engineers to develop their skills on major water and wastewater treatment design and build projects. The candidate will work closely with Coffey's design and construction teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Civil Engineers. The candidate will prepare 2D and 3D designs using a range of Autodesk products.

The ideal candidate will have a good technical knowledge of design for construction and be able to accurately prepare data-rich 3D Revit models and 2D drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil packages, including general arrangements drawings and P&IDs. They will also be responsible for ensuring that drawings and designs developed are accurate and presented to meet all relevant internal, client and industry standards.

Responsibilities include preparing drawing registers and transmittals, conducting coordination activities, including model integration, quality assurance, and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and ACC. They will also undertake project administrative duties to meet contract obligations and assist in the control of project documentation as per ISO accredited, company procedures and BIM protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A third-level qualification in BIM or a related discipline (Engineering, or Construction)
  • Certificate from a recognised training provider in 2D and 3D Autodesk products or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate industry experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BIM and BS1192/ISO19650
  • Strong general IT skills and competent in the use of MS Office
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other Common Data Environments (CDE)
