As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. Your passion for delivering exceptional care and support will be instrumental in enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Residents with Daily Living Activities
- Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, and meal support.
- Encourage independence while ensuring resident safety and well-being.
- Offer Companionship and Emotional Support
- Build strong relationships with residents, fostering trust and confidence.
- Listen actively and provide emotional support to enhance their overall well-being.
- Monitor and Document Resident Changes
- Regularly assess and document changes in residents' physical and mental health.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
- Support Mobility and Physical Exercises
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop exercise programs promoting resident mobility and independence.
- Supervise and assist residents with exercises, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Safety
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in resident living areas and communal spaces.
- Implement procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment.
- A minimum of 12 months experience working as a care assistant or in a related field is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a patient demeanor.
- Be able to work effectively within a team while showing initiative and flexibility.
- Willingness to relocate to Dublin and adapt to a new environment.
- Hold relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare or social care, such as a diploma in nursing or a care-related qualification.
- Have basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
