Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Residents with Daily Living Activities
    • Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, and meal support.
    • Encourage independence while ensuring resident safety and well-being.
  • Offer Companionship and Emotional Support
    • Build strong relationships with residents, fostering trust and confidence.
    • Listen actively and provide emotional support to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Monitor and Document Resident Changes
    • Regularly assess and document changes in residents' physical and mental health.
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
  • Support Mobility and Physical Exercises
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop exercise programs promoting resident mobility and independence.
    • Supervise and assist residents with exercises, providing guidance and encouragement.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure cleanliness and safety in resident living areas and communal spaces.
    • Implement procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working as a care assistant or in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a patient demeanor.
  • Be able to work effectively within a team while showing initiative and flexibility.
  • Willingness to relocate to Dublin and adapt to a new environment.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare or social care, such as a diploma in nursing or a care-related qualification.
  • Have basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
