Community Arts and Wellness Curator

The successful candidate will lead the Community Arts & Wellness strand of our IMMA Horizons programme, delivering dynamic and inclusive programming that supports wellbeing, social inclusion, and community connection through strategic partnerships and arts education.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Programme Delivery: Manage and deliver diverse art programmes, including workshops, training sessions, and exhibitions.
    • Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organisations, and academic institutions to promote collaborative practice.
    • Audience Growth & Inclusion: Expand participation by targeting older people, people living with dementia, neurodiverse audiences, and marginalised groups, ensuring equal access and opportunities for engagement.
    • Evaluation & Research: Contribute to ongoing evaluation and research, informing programme development with rights-based and socially inclusive methodologies.
    • Communications: Work with our communications team to promote programmes and develop accessible resources (print, video, digital).
  • Requirements:
    • Experience in conceiving and delivering engagement and learning programmes in an arts or museum context.
    • Knowledge of current arts educational practice, national arts and ageing policies, and museum studies.
    • Proven track record of project management, leadership, and collaboration.
    • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in art history, arts education, museum studies, arts management, or a related field.
