Design and Compliance Lead

The Design and Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance during the design phase of a significant development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee health and safety aspects of the design process, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation under the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and contractors to minimize risks and promote best practices for a safe working environment.
  • Safety File Management: Prepare and maintain the Safety File for the project.
  • Collaborate with the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and advise on safety practices.
  • Regular Audits: Conduct safety audits and inspections throughout the design process.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on safety compliance and risk management.

This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence are essential in this position.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Architecture, or Safety Management).
  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
